If your AC is not keeping you cool, check a few of these common problems
first. If that doesn’t work, call us at
Del-Air. We’re the guys to call for AC repair.
Condenser not running? Check the power:
1. Plugged in?
2. Fuse blown?
3. Circuit breaker thrown?
If it still doesn’t run, lower the thermostat five degrees.
Runs but doesn’t cool? You know it’s running but you don’t
feel any cool air? Check the thermostat. Next, see that your condenser
isn’t dirty or blocked. Clean it and remove the blockage.
Not cooling adequately? Lower your thermostat five degrees. If that doesn’t
do it, you may have a dirty evaporator. Clean it and run your unit for
a few hours. Still not working? Your AC might not be the right size for
your needs. If it’s been unusually hot outside, you can’t
expect Antarctica inside.
Shuts on and off repeatedly? Usually this means a dirty or blocked condenser
unit or a dirty evaporator. Give the entire unit a good cleaning and remove
any obstructions.
Call in the pros? You need AC repair. You’ve looked it over,
but think you might need:
1. motor or compressor work
2. more coolant in your system
3. a new system
Now you should
contact the pros at Del-Air so we can make you comfortable again.
